dynomax bullet mufflers

Using them as mufflers should I put on after the cat or put two in the back, like in the stock muffler position, then weld tips to them

I have the Texas Speed & Performance cat back. WAY too timid & mild for me. At cruise (60 mph) I can barely even hear it.

Only 1, just just pulling out of a parking spot, under normal driving. Didn't even know he was filming...

I'm the 4th car to pull out, the white GTA. After the 1st car pulls out, you can here a car start, but I don't think that was mine. But rather, the camcorder owners LS1 3rd gen.

Others say they are LOUD...Certainly not mine!

Your system isn't loud? I have hedman shorties with a hedman/**** ypipe, 3" magnaflow cat, 3" piping all the way over the axle to the bullet muffler, single exit and it's decently loud. I'm putting the muffler before the axle soon though, which will make it even louder

Re: dynomax bullet mufflers

I had two cheap brand bullett mufflers[2.5 inch] that were located were my dual cats were and then it came into a single 3 inch just like stock and then it was dumped at the axle and it was way too loud so i switched to the aero chamber and thats not loud enuff so im thinking about a 1 chamber flow master with the tips off my aero chamber located in the center of the bumber like a c-5 vette

Re: dynomax bullet mufflers

decided to build my own dynomax bullets, doing everyhting myself but bend the pipe

Ok heres what Ive got done in the past couple days.

went to a muffler shop and bought two turn downs($10), 2 pieces of 2.25 pipe with a 90 bend on one end and 14 in of straight tubing($20), and twenty inches of 4in pipe ($20!)

drilled holes in the 2.25 in pipes for 9 in,

made a plate that sides over the pipe(muffler end) and welded it onto the pipe

slid 10 inches the 4in pipe over the 2.25 in and welded it up

now I have to make 3 more plates for the muffler ends, weld the turndowns on, remove the old rear exhaust section, clamp the new exhaust to the old and then weld hangers onto the pipe afterthe mufflers

the way that im doing this allows me to drop the rear section at the factory clamps, unbolt it from the hangers, install the new section with the factory hangers, so if i need to bolt the factory exhaust onto the car i can do it without fabbing anything

in other words The car won't be butchered up, or had anything done to it

Re: dynomax bullet mufflers

would i gain power changing my flowmaster to a dynomax bullet? i have a complete header exhaust with x pipe and slp runners and a larger throttle body. Does anyone have dyno results of the dynomax bullet mufflers?

Re: dynomax bullet mufflers

more than likely, bullets are almost like a straight thru pipe see the post above that is a link to another post, look at number 25 you can see the inside of a bullet

Mine is a Texas Speed & Performance 3" Rumbler LS1 catback.

You can see the muffler is just after the cat, before the axle, and I'm considering replacing it with a Flowmaster Outlaw, or nothing...just putting in a straight pipe, and let my cat act as my muffler.
