OK here's my deal i put vortec heads on the maro, the stock exhaust has to go its been leaking for the last week but, the passenger side stock manifold holes don't match up, i can pinch the rear bolt hole with my fingers, it hangs past the head, is this normal for these heads? anyone got any ideas should i buy some(what kind)
back hole isn't needed if you're talking about the 7th extra bolt hole. only need the 6 bolts. Definitely killing the whole point of vortec head swapping with stock manifolds, how about some nice tubular headers instead?

Yes there is a difference. The standard SBC heads have an extra hole on the back passenger side #8 cylinder (the #1 cylinder on the driver's side head). Vortec heads are missing that extra hole, and our stock exhaust manifolds require it. Headers will work with Vortec heads, no problem there.
ok that what i was trying to say so should i get headers for a 305 or something else? or just sbc headers that will fit in the camaro? will pretty much every sbc header fit the vortec heads?
Get headers for a camaro. Sucks for you since you're in Cali, you'll have to get Headers with all the goofy emissions tubes and such, it'll cost you a pretty penny.
Look into Hooker 2055's, they should work with your stock catback, but Im not sure.
