Look under the exhaust forum. There is any aftermarket companies that offer it. You'll have to DIY. Look under exhaust, there is a brand new thread that has great info as well as a LONG sticky with links for pictures.
At one moment I had true duel exhaust, I loved it. I already had it on the car when I bought it, but when I put shortie headers on, it was a nightmare. because I had to put on a Y-pipe on, and it was made for a single duel, and we had to convert part of my true duel to single duel. (I used to brag and be happy about my true duel ) I beleive it was a already made kit for my camaro, because it seem almost perfect.
I can confidently say that during my Camaro hunting days (when I was looking for one to purchase, for my first car) I drove quite a bit of them. I drove an '88 IROC-Z that had been modded for true dual (out of my price range) and I noticed quite a bit of difference from it. The exhaust sounded louder, clearer, and deeper. There is probably a statistic horsepower gain from it, but it doesn't feel much different horsepower-wise from my '86 Z28. Might just be from me not being observant enough.

That's how mine was, except I ended up finding out it had alot of exhaust leaks (dont really know where though, never actually found them ) but the performance wasnt much different then other camaros (this town has like 5 third gen camaro's, I drove them all, friend's cars.)
And I agree with you 327_TPI_77_Maro,
strange how alot of people have those on 305 engines (not only mine, but I've seen a few)
I find it much better with the new headers and Y pipe, its just when its cold out, one exhaust tip has alot of smoke coming out of and the other side is blowing like mid-normal, kinda in between of good and bad.
atleast its not like my friend's camaro, one exhaust tip is blowing all the smoke out and the other side has nothing, hahaha but of course we know how to fix it, but for me, I dont want to spend time on it, because its pretty good anyway.

Um... That's what I call a duel exhaust, when they are put together at one point in the exhaust.... maybe your familiar with fakie duel or w/e the f*ck you would call it. Sorry Im not very explainable person.
i have true duels and shorties check my car domain for pics

Call around to local shops, there's always a small time shop who will do decent work for cheap. I got true duals, X pipe, 40 series flowmasters will turn downs for $275 including the mufflers.
Someone on this forum has these installed, and I'm actually purchasing them soon. Sure they'll rust out in two years, but for only $165, who cares? If you're making enough power to NEED mandrel bent exhaust then you should pay the extra money to get it done, but otherwise I see these as a viable alternative. 2.25" dual flows more than a 3", plenty enough for most applications even being compression bent.

It's dual not duel. Duel means they would be fighting, and all the people I know call that dual into single.
Im running hooker competition headers. From them I have 3" pipe back to a flowmaster super 40 series, then 3" pipe to finish. they run down each side and turn to the outside just before the back tire. They fit pretty well here. I love my dual exhaust it looks and sounds great.
why do people want true duals with a 305? why the h--l not!? its not like you have to have a certain CI to run em. thats all there was back in the day on the old school muscle so why not do it now? its not like your gonna get 30 extra horses or anything, probable sound better, different tone. wheather theyre sticking out the sides, or dumped before the axle. even back in the early days they have cars with smaller than 305 cubes and they still had duals...its not like they had the crossflow application back in the 60's.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
im planning on putting true duals... right now i have a single dual... which has a y pipe from the exhaust manifolds to one single pipe running down the passenger side with a crap load of bends and turns wasting my horse power connected into a smaller pipe which is then going into two pipes that lead to a huge muffler then the 2 pipes comming out of the muffler to the back of my car to make duals....

technically that wouldnt be true dual. well not like i see it, true dual would be each heads exhaust doesnt mingle with each other. its also useful when detecting broken exhaust valves because if u hold up a dollar on which one u suspect has a bad valve the dollar will get sucked in
It is a dual with a single 2 in pipes 2 out pipes muffler whether the muffler acts as a x pipe i don't know.

True duals doesn't mean each head needs it's own pipe with out doing anything with the other one. H- pipes and x-pipes are true dual. And the have a better effect then with out them. Most mufflers with the dual in, dual out, use an x design for better HP and exhaust tone.
all the DUAL exhaust kits on jegs are for 305 ONLY...
that makes me sad.
my camaro (85 iroc) is badly in need of an exhaust overhaul.
it leaks out of every imaginable place.
thats what happens when the person who did it got it done for like $70...
i have a 350 in my iroc and want DUAL exhaust.
since im not a *******, ill go ahead and put an x-pipe in (they flow better than H pipes and sound better IMHO) and still call it a true DUAL exhaust.
im gonna do two mufflers i guess.
probably hidden exits though.
for some reason i never like seeing big exhaust pipes poking out under the bumper of camaros.
nice ones might be better than what i typically see, but usually it just looks ugly to me.

Is there a difference with the exhaust from a 305 to a 350? Before my LS1 swap I swaped from a 305 to a 350 and the exhaust bolted right up.
i am sure there isn't the 305 and 350 are both gen 1 sbc and i believe that most parts on them interchange

I think it's just listed like that because the pipes are so small, no reason it wouldn't bolt up to a 350, probably wouldn't be the best choice performance wise though..

The sound is the ONLY reason to run duals unless you don't do proper homework and set up your exhaust correctly. With advancements in technology things like the flowmaster merge collector make duals not really needed for almost all the cars on this website. Sure they are needed in extreme circumstances but not for a lot of the cars on here and especially not for a 305.
Could not find anything on Holley site and Dr Gas site is down. I'll check back there later. I'd love to find a way to shoehorn a Dual 3.5" setup with Dual magnaflow 3.5" bullets. That would sound killer.
True dual exhaust from Hectic Motorsports in West Chester, PA. Its made from 3" 316L stainless steel with free flowing mandrel bends. It was custom made for hooker super comp. full lenth headers and flowmaster 40 series mufflers, but they will make it for any combination . It would be a perfect exhaust for a race car or if you want to tempt the local police dept. Here are some pics of it on my 88 with a 383 stroker.
Does anybody know what the cross section per HP rating is?
I dont have cross section info, but 2.2cfm per hp is ideal flow. You will have to find flow numbers on your muff and pipe sizes but that shouldnt be hard.
