The difference is the connection at the cat, which varied over the years.

Since long tubes will require extensive fabrication, and modification of any of those pipes (why 2.5"?), why bother buying a factory replacement pipe?

Re: whats the differance

i understand that u are trying to save money while still having duals run in the fact location. but i don't think this is the way to go. like Kid said u are goin to have some extensive cutting and fabing done to those pipes,so why throw that money away? i am at the end of this road right now. i am just waiting for the call to go pick up my 84.
also before they even start welding u are allready out 200 bucks.

just find a good shop that will run the pipes the way u want them it would be cheaper in the long run. trust me i've allready thought of this and for me was not worth it.

i unded up using a universal H-pipe from summit. then having it welded up with my bullet mufflers and goin over the axles in 18"x3" stainless tips. they charged me 250 to weld up the system and to do the mufflers back.

my total cost including good header gaskets and locking bolts was 650. and thats everything welded and done.
good luck bro.

i'll get some pics for ya.

i am not having it done with mandral bends. most shops don't doit b/c the machines are stupid expensive. i stopped by today and the guy had the passenger side all mocked up with the tip on it. it looked awesome. he said that i will have great ground clearence.

madral bending is nice but with a custom run exhaust it will be almost in possible to find someone who has it. as long as they are not kinked-bent u'll be fine. i bring it home wednesday. i will get the pics before it goes to the body shop on friday.

Re: whats the differance

well i can not find anyone that will run the exhaust this way and its driving me nuts. the only options i have are buy the pipes i listed and find a friend who has a good saw and welder and do it myself or the shop i talked to today would rather do a single 3in with a high flow cat and a bullet in the I pipe with tips out the rear
