Which muffler sounds stock?

Okay, I've got a custom bent exhaust with a Flowmaster 80 on my '83 Z/28. To me, it doesn't sound as sweet as my bone stock, N10, dual cat, '89.

Which muffler sounds close to stock?

Re: Which muffler sounds stock?

Dynomax is close as your going to get to stock. It flows excellent. Magnaflow is deeper than stock, but loud when you are at WOT. Magnaflow flows good as well.

The hushpower mufflers are a good flowing muffler and they are quiet at idle like a stock set up but kinda aggressive at WOT.

Re: Which muffler sounds stock?

Yeah, I was thinking about the Dynomax.

On ebay last week, someone had a new NOS GM muffler and tailpipe assembly just like the one on my IROC. I was watching it hover around 10 bucks all week. I figured I'd swoop in during that last two minutes and snatch it. I guess afew other guys had the same idea. In the last minute it went from like 30 bucks to $180.50. Damn, I wanted that!

Anyways, Dynomax is about $60, right?

Re: Which muffler sounds stock?

the ultra flo is a quiet muffler on a stock car, but when you add more power you will get more sound.
