what is the loudest series that flowmaster makes. 80, 40, 50. iv been searching around but they dont specify loudness. they say the 40 series is "The Most Aggressive, Deepest Toned Street And Strip Muffler By Flowmaster, It Offers Maximum Performance, An Improved Flow Path Radius, And Generates More Torque And Power Than Any Other 40 Series Muffler" that quote was off a web site i was at earlyer.
all i need to know is what is the loudest model that is a direct fit.

i have a 305 tbi i just bought all the components to make a cat back from walker it was all under $100. it needed a new eghast to pass inspection as there was none before. i just litteraly bought this car and its my first v8 and i simply just want it to sound loud. i will gut the cat if needed or just buy a high flow. i just wanted to know what the loudest muffler i could get w/ 150 bucks or less.
ps if my car sounded anything like yours i wouldnt be writing this thread. nice car man.
i got the flowmaster 3" american thunder cat back with dual tips its pretty loud and its got a real nice idle tone but it cost like $400 or so you get what you pay for
Loudest Flowmaster would be the Outlaw series..Single Chamber. But I doubt there is a single in/dual out, direct fit one.
44 Series would be the 2-chamber Flowmaster & there is a direct fit one of those.
Search Summit or Jegs.

i just went and checked jegs for the 44 series u were talking about. i think the inlet is on one side and the dual outlets are on the other side not like ours. correct me if im rong please because i really dont know for sure and dont want to buy some thing and it not be for the rong app.
i just went back to jegs and they dont list them specificly for camaros or firebirds. if im rong ill probobly get one of them. if not i guess ill go w/ the 80 series if that would be next in line
ok i just removed my flowmaster in favor of duals.. but if you want noise then this is what you want.. 80 series 2 chamber flowmaster, then gut the cat... and put 3 inch tips on the end.. there is in 80 series that flowmaster makes that like the delta flow which is much much quieter... or just do this to your car... http://s76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...t=100_0040.flv
Just put in the Flowmaster 3" system with 80 series and stainless tips and it does have a little rumble but really not anything loud but then again I've got a stock manifold and y-pipe for now, well whatever system you go with what about doing a cutout also, that would wake up the neighbors, lol. Later.

you are looking at it incorrectly, on the side with the two the top one is the inlet, the bottom the outlet, the other side is another outlet.
If you just want it really loud, then don't run a muffler at all. That would be loud, or better yet, open headers. Probably still wouldn't be as loud as most of the v-twin bikes around my area, but I'm sure it would still get you a ticket. That's another thing, are the police picky about noise in your area? Where I live it seems that if they can hear your exhaust they bug you all the time.

Have you heard a built small block with open long tube headers? I had a cammed 350 with 1 3/8 primary 3 inch outlet hookers that was easily louder than any bike I've ever heard.. anything above idle was unbearably loud.. you could litterly hear it over half a mile away.. I don't understand why anybody would actually want that though..

there is a video of my engine with hooker shorties and ypipe into 3 inch str8 back befor i put my muffler on...i couldnt rev it cause it would overpower the cameras mic. its loud!! i dont like it like that got to get my muffler put on soon...

Yeah, I wasn't actually being serious. I had built a 350 and started it up with only my shorty headers because I didn't have exhaust for it, but I never actually drove it that way. It was a couple years ago so I'm sure it was louder than I remember. The point I was getting to was that some people like insanely loud engines.
When I orginally bought my camaro it dumped out at the cat and the cat was gutted. It was loud and I loved it but I never drove it that way because I cannot afford the ticket. I bought the American Thunder System and it sounds really good.
I have a magnaflow dual exhuast with 4 inch tips going into stock manfold. Its alright.. I dont want my car too loud though.. Id like to be able to jam to my radio rather then being drowned by exhaust noise. lol. But its still plenty loud.
