Upside down performance headers

possible I'm looking just to cut off the ends and have them shoot straight through the hood what are the pros n cons? I have a pontiac 400 6.6L and the right way hits the oil pan cause the top of the header is slanted to much how could I bend that out? but I rather have 8 pipes sticking out the hood cause id cut off were the slant and combine

These are long tube head man headers and my only option is to put them upside down and have it going out the fender or hood or find a way to bend them and I don't care if its illeagal thank you there is plenty of people in my neighborhood who have ratrods with open headers

You can't be serious? Do you know how loud and illegal that would be? Plus it would look absolutly horrible on a TA. My $.02

hmm wouldnt you loose power that way? why dont you just bend them and have them come out in front of the rear wheels?? thats what i would do if i had long tubes. id do that before sticking them out the dam hood

seconded, include the beating the cops will give you to for running something that loud

seriously it would be so loud, and youd lose alot of low end, and not to mention its wayyyyyyyyyyyy illegal, no matter where you live.

Yeah brother!!! Do it, and give us a pic to use as my background. And instead of a pheonix, you should paint a big skull on the hood.

Re: Upside down performace headers

In effect you would have zoomie headers. I think you would lose a ton of torque doing it that way. Not to mention the obvious noise issues.
