Re: pics of dynomax muffler on mufflex?

I think Matt has some pics over in the LTX/LSX forum. He fabbed up his exhaust in the driveway. It's under the "It's Official" thread. I looked again and it's actually a Magnaflow, but they are about the same muffler.

any shots of sound clips of your setup?
17225 6" 16" case 22" overall
17537 6" 22" 27"
the 1st muffler will be easier to fit, but i think im going with the larger muff for more sound absorption.
17538 is the exact muffler as the 17537, just stainless.

i also found a 17557 muffler that is oval. 8.25x11.5 25" case. i think i could make it fit, and have the least amount of noise, but im thinking the muffler would look weird sticking down from the car.
imagine 2 catback type mufflers welded together. id have no issue with ground clearance, just be odd with a big "box" back there.

Re: pics of dynomax muffler on mufflex?

ive got a stock replacement dynomax ultra flow on the car now and you cant hear my car from the stands if there is another car on the track.
same in the burnout, or going down the track.

is the 2nd tailpipe just for looks or is there something else going on?
thanks for the vids!

Re: pics of dynomax muffler on mufflex?

My ultraflo is 4" in/out with 6" case. close to 22 inches in total length. Mounted in the I pipe section. It goes up over the axle 4" then splits into dual 3" out. So both sections flow air but its mainly for looks as i LOVE the dual pipe look out the back.

Its loud. That camera is a good 20-25 yards from the track with other cars around. You can still here it good and its sound quality isnt the best
