Re: HEDMAN HEADERS o2 bung ???

well this is a first , asked a question and nobody knows . no sarcasm intended . guess i'll just get them and see for myself . if i have to i will weld in a bung on the "Y" pipe below the collector . has anyone done that ? installed an o2 sensor in that area , any problems ?

I have the shortie hedmans with the y-pipe and no, there is not a bung in the headers. I wouldnt put the 02 in the y-pipe, Id rather have it closer like in the collector.

Re: HEDMAN HEADERS o2 bung ???

I have the same set up on my 91 rs. I had an O2 bung welded to the y pipe just down from the collector. This is what the folks at hedman recommended. Set up works just fine...

Same setup here. I did install a heated O2 sensor for fear that the stock one would be too far away to stay at temp. Ran it for a few hundred miles with the stock, unheated sensor in. Ran OK but warmup is definitely faster with the heated sensor.
