You have to get a corvette servo to allow the 3-4 shift. One thing I would do, when I had my old 3rd gens is let off the accelerator until it would shift to 4th and then slowly ease down the accelerator again, but when I had my trans built, it would shift into 4th WOT.
I miss the old 700r4s! I had a 1984 Camaro with a mild 350 and I had the stock 700r4 rebuilt by the GOOd shop, that specialized into 700r4s! That trans was sick! 1-2 shift would leave a tire patch 5ft lond and then bark 2-3 shift!
I had several 3rd gens:
-the 84 that I just apoke about
-1989 Formula 305 TPI with a custom shift kit that would rip the tires on the shifts!
-1991 Formula 305 TBI with the same type shift kit!
-1988 IROC 305 TBI same shift kit!
-1987 IROC 350 TPI with same shift kit! With the torquey 350, the 1-2 shift would bring the *** end sideways!
Like I said, try replacing the servo with a corvette unit and consider a good shift kit or have the trans built! You'll be SHOCKED by getting a GOOD build and a mild stall, say 2500-2800rpm!
