SLP header clearance prob
Ok,
So i have heard stories of people with fitment issues with their SLP headers well mine just clears (and i mean just clears) the steering and hits the brake lines i have heard maby i need to rebend the brake lines but i my question is do you think if i replace the motor mounts i may give me more clearance because the motor will sit a little diff they have not been changed before and its a 87 bird thankyou any input would be cool, Jeff

Re: SLP header clearance prob
i have new poly mounts and the headers hit my brake lines and steering.
Even if the new mounts cause issues, you can still loosen the steering bolts and wiggle the column over a little if you need more room

Re: SLP header clearance prob
I got an 87 iroc with SLP headers and i have no clearance issues. They come real close to the brake lines but do not touch. I guess I just got lucky. I dont know how old the mounts are though.
