dougs lt header install

So far i got the drivers side header i had to jack engine up about 2 inches fits with no issues. the passenger side i am having some issues with it keeps hitting where the a arm bolts up to the frame. Anyone have that issue or is there another way to go about it? i have tried installing the header from the top but doesnt want to go in that way. when i install through the bottom i remove the starter and it almost goes all the way in but come far enough forward. anyone got some key ideas for me?

Re: dougs lt header install

Follow the sticky of this forum, I had to remove my starter and install header and starter together. Had to also install header from underneath after jacking the pass. side motor up and aim the collector towoard the ground and twist the header into a position where it would go in and you also have to remove the exhaust pipe for number 8 cylinder and instaal the pipe back when the header is in position to mount. Need to clearance the a arm mount and the a arm a bit. Just follow the sticky at the top of this forum.

Re: dougs lt header install

finished the whole install with the mufflex y pipe, they sound very nice. ground clearance sucks though i have about a 1 and 1/2 of it. my car is lowered but the springs are really stiff so it has bottomed out yet. i put some pics up later.
