i have a 89 camaro with a 350 bore over 30 roller cam 501/501 my passenger side is leaking bad and its also skipping and i just changed my plugs im wondering if theres any relation in the manifold leak and the skipping any ideas its skipping bad and its annoying
leaking exhaust manifold . do you have stock manifolds or headers ? in any case install new gaskets , retorque & tighten from the center out . on the miss , did you drop any of the plugs . could be a bad plug or bad plug wire . i would lean towards the plug wire . an old plug wire can break down just by handling . OEM type wires ( carbon core type ) start to deteriorate from the date of mfg. . new may not be new , may have sat in a warehouse for 4 or 5 years . worse yet they may have been made in CHINA . a good set of wires like MSD , ACCEL , or TAYLOR is a good investment . good luck .
Yea that is right check the wires out. Also when is the last time u check the distributor cap??? might be cracked or the coil pack assuming you are vacuumed advanced like me. i have edelbrock with a performer edlebrock manifold. accel distribitor. just check little things like that. Wouldn't hurt to just pop a couple spark plugs to check if they are ok. b/c pre gapped sometimes aren't always pregapped correctly. A fouled plug that got oil on it could do this to.
