Mufflex Y-pipe with Dougs headers?

I just ordered some dougs LT headers with 3 in collectors and i wanted to know if anyone knows if the Mufflex y-pipe for the Hooker LTs fits the dougs headers? I have searched and there are some people that say it might fit because Dougs and Hooker LTs were designed by the same guy, but no definate answer.

Re: Mufflex Y-pipe with Dougs headers?

I had the mufflex y pipe with hooker lt's. I didn't like how it fit. Mufflex uses the flowmaster 3" to 4" collector anyway. I just bought the collector from summit and will be going to the muffler house and they will fab it up. I think it will be cheaper too. flowmaster collector is ~$45.

Re: Mufflex Y-pipe with Dougs headers?

Thanks pondriver, thats kinda what I was thinking of doing, but it would have been nice to just bolt everything up and home. Are you running a 4 in Mufflex exhaust, if so, how did you like the fit and finish? I see they offer a kit with a Magnaflow muffler now which is what I want, but I might be cheaper off having a system fabbed up for me since it is $600 for just the cat back.

I didn't pay full price. Found a new one from a fellow TG member. It fits pretty well. I like it. I have the flowmaster 4".
