Long Tube Headers and true dual exhaust HELP

i went to the town minkie mufflers to get my custom exhust priced they told me they told me they wouldnt do it beacuse iv got Long Tube Headers and idk want the hell to do now iv got headmen hedders from summit and the guy at minkie told me he cant to it un less cutes the fram or some thing like that so iv got two requests if any one know how to rout the pipes with full hedders let me know or pic would be nice or if youv got a pic of it all done id like to see and i live in nassau county new york so if any one knows of a good custum exhaust place let me know thanks

and sorry for spelling errors

The guy you talked to is obviously a complete moron. At the most you will will need some hedman s bends to clear the tranny if your running an auto. After that you can route the exhaust anywhere you want. Also what mufflers do you plan on useing your space is limited.

The problem is that getting outside the trans tunnel requires going over the subframe rails at some point, and it destroys ground clearance, but really not as badly as having the header flanges hanging down. Long-tubes and duals are definately a challenge when trying to maximize ground clearance.

whoever says it is impossible i did it with hedman 1 5/8" collector headers, mated to hedman S bends then used a Summit universal H-pipe kit, then 2 moroso spiral mufflers and 2 turn downs before the rearend. IT was an amazing upgrade to the y-pipe setup.

I agree. I have the same setup less the H pipe and mine dump @ the rear tires.

i wanted to do somethign similar, just switch the h pipe to a x pipe. ill have to research though.
