How much would it cost?

How much should I pay to have headers put on (I supply the headers) and have it made dual exhaust using one of my flowmasters?

I have an 84 Z?

thanks!

Re: How much would it cost?

I can only tell you what it cost me to have all of the stuff I supplied and installed welded together. First, I installed the headers, see sig for RS, I installed all the piping including removing the stock manifolds. Once I had it all the headers installed and the pipes and muffler installed and clamped together, with the exception of the ypipe (had it modified to 3 "as I went with the 3" exhaust and Hooker's ypipe went down to 2-1/2"), it me about $300.00. But that is where I live. What I would suggest you do is to get estimates from a few good local shops that do this work and compare prices if you do not want to install them yourself. Why don't you want to install them yourself?

Re: How much would it cost?

Thanks for the reply.
I dont want to install them myself because i am not even close to being a mechanic. Spark plugs and oil changes are about as good as it gets for me.

Re: How much would it cost?

That's all I used to do as well. This is really not that difficult. Sometimes the stock manifolds are a pain and you may skin a few knuckles but I say go for it. If not, just do your pricing and make sure all is included before you give the mechanic the go ahead. You want all joints welded on the system. Gotta decide if you want chrome tips or what, they really look good. You will def need a ypipe to tie it all in unless you go with true duals.
