02 sensor removal questions

Whats easier, removing it from the top or the the bottom? (I looked at the top and it looks like the air tubes, master cyl. will be in the way.)

Should I use some PB blaster first to help it remove easier?

Should I put anti-seize on the threads of the new sensor?

Re: 02 sensor removal questions

I removed my o2 sensor in my room at home, I removed the manifold, but you can probably do it from above. I believe it's a 17 or 18 millimeter open end wrench.

I got the universal o2 sensor socket, but with all the clutter above the manifold i have about 1/2 inches for the rachet to move.

Thats why im wondering if i should take the air tubes off the manifold in order to have more room.

Re: 02 sensor removal questions

Good luck getting the tubes off intact

O2 sensors are not that difficult to remove/replace. Invest in a set of extensions and a universal joint

Re: 02 sensor removal questions

O2 socket, 12" 3/8 extension and 3/8 ratchet, no issues (might need a cheater bar on the ratchet though if it's the original O2)...
