Pics of my 3" dual exhaust with X pipe

Hey guys, thought I would share this with yall. It's not the prettiest exhaust but it fits, works and don't drag at all on anything.

http://rides.webshots.com/album/573815401QtiPuM

3" ID ROL flex pipes, Summit 3" OD X pipe kit, summit 3" OD exhaust pipe, dynomax ultra flow mufflers

I'm running a th-400 so space was a prob and I live out in the sticks so ground clearance was a prob.

I was running a 2.25" true dual system routed right under the crossmember and it just barly drug on like speed bumps, pot holes, etc

So this time I lowered the crossmember down 2" and ran my 3" pipes over the crossmember for good ground clearance

Re: Pics of my 3" dual exhaust with X pipe

what is that wierd looking piece of pipe with all the ridges?
you should post a few of these pics on the board where people show true dual exhausts - and give the link too.
im sure lots of people would love to see this, and in a day or two this one might get burried.
nice job. like the way you got extra room.

not feeling the under axle setup, but other than that it looks quite functional.

i like the flex pipe idea. how long a flex pipe can you get. i have to go about one foot to 18 inches in a 3 inch internal diameter pipe. most look like they are only 8 inches.
and how much of a flex can i get out of one of them?

Re: Pics of my 3" dual exhaust with X pipe

The flex pipe is 18" long each. In 3" that's the longest I could find. In 2.5" and smaller you can get 5 foot lenghts of it

The longer the flex pipe is the more flex you can get. With the 18" lenghts you can see the "flex" max'ed out in 1 place on mine I think where the flex pipe goes into the X pipe at. That was the most it would bend/flex.

Under the rear axle aint too bad for my setup as the rear end is pretty high up with drag bags in new moog springs, with AGX shocks, and 275/60-15 tires.
