the kit wont work on a 3rd gen, the front subframe is different, as well as the trans subframes.

Any moron can run exhaust under the rear axle, not the way to go

LT1 cat backs are SIMPLE to fit a 3rd gen & a LS1 cat back isn't very hard to do, despite the different y-pipe. I should know...I have a LS1 cat-back on my 87 GTA, right now!

As for under the axle....
The only possible problem with that, is,....Will the rear axle clear, when jacking up just the body alone? If it does, great. If not, just one more thing to contend with, for a freer flowing exhaust system. If you buy an exhaust that has to be removed first? Well, you knew that ahead of time, so you can't complain!

There can be no denying, that the under axle pipes will flow freer than over the axle.

.
i know that Stephen, but the kit is the y-pipe and other rubbish, aside from wasting money on the crappy kit, you also have to buy a y-pipe you cant use, seems like a lose lose to me.

besides, he would have to fabricate the first bend and cat connection to fit on the 3rd gen, even more money wasted to rig up a kit you build yourself for about 200 bux
