When I purchased the car there was an incomplete exhaust. There was no catalytic converter. There was one o2 sensor on the pipe before the cat. (is that called the downpipe?) We just ran straight pipe where a cat would go. Now some people are telling me that there should be an o2 sensor before and after the cat. (that i dont even have obviously) I believe my model only has one o2 sensor but i want to verify. I dont see where another would go!
the two O2 sensors are on later model cars (generally 1994 or 1995 and above), and on all OBD2 cars. The camaros only have 1 O2 sensor, so don't worry about it!
thats right, only 1 O2 sensor. Normally its on the driver side exhaust manifold. And the piece connecting the two exhaust manifolds is called the Y-pipe (wye pipe). Downpipe is on front wheel drive (mainly) imports...
