Just put a set of Dougs LT's on my 91 Z. The passenger side brake hard line is really close(just about touching) to the header. This line runs along the k-member. What have you guys done with this line?

Somehow you want to safely relocate it as was stated above. You don't want your brake fluid boiling. This is one of the reasons for using a good quality set of shorty headers. You don't have these types of problems for the small gains of horsepower with the long tube headers.

Unless it's actually touching, I woudlnt worry too much about it.

If possible I would run it for a while and try to feel how hot the brake line is to the touch near the header, just dont burn yourself.

I know with my LT's the collector is very close to my brake and fuel lines but I never have any trouble with them. Air is a poor conductor of heat.

Shorty vs. long tube has nothing to do with how they route at the primaries. I am not sure why you would think that?

My Doug's come pretty close to the brake lines but do not touch them. I am planning a swap to Ford brake fluid since it supposedly has the highest rated boiling point of all the readily available over-the-counter brake fluids available. This should take care of any problems that would come with having the lines that close to the header though.

My Edelbrock shorties were nearly touching my brake lines. I just bent them out of the way.

You could always pick up a long piece of brake line and do a custom bend if bending the original piece doesn't give you enough clearance.
