2 Oxygen sensors? 305 RS TBI - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Hi,

I recently got a 92 RS Camaro 305 TBI. Now trying to get it to run good in stock for now. Got to the exaust.

I have an oxygen sensor in one of my collectors and then there is a patched hole and some torn wiring under the car right after the cat which seems like a second O2 sensor?

So is there supposed to be a second sensor after the cat? If it's missing does it make some difference to how the car runs? (I seem to have some really bad MPG atm and overall car seems pretty slow)

these cars only came with one O2 sensor in them factory, just to read the air/fuel mixture. Rear O2 (for determining the health of a cat converter) didn't appear in the F-bodies until the 4th gen came along

now, as for what you've got in there, not a clue. does it look like any modifications have been made to the car by previous owners?

Well seems like previous owner did something. I got the car from Japan maybe they have some sort of regulations to test after cat. Was just checking if this thing is supposed to be in stock.

thats probably it, never thought i'd see a thirdgen in russia, pretty cool if you ask me

Hehe well there are a few 3rd gens that come up on yearly car shows. Hard to buy one though especially in decent condition. It is a rare car in Russia. So I look forward to make some pics on the Red Suare and post them here lol.
