Performance gain headers for an LB9

Hey guys-

I've got my new exhaust system, and am now getting ready to get headers for my car... probably the biggest upgrade I'll ever do. I don't know too much about em, so please bear with me...

I've got a 1990 IROC w/ the LB9 305cid TPI, A4.

What are the best headers I can get that will give me the biggest jump in performance? Money is not an issue, I just want to get the most HP I can out of them.

What is the difference between ceramic coated and regular headers? is there an HP difference? or just a life-span increase?

What measurements do I need? (again, I'm sorry I'm so clueless..)

Any ballpark guesses on how much it will cost? I can't install em myself, so a shop will have to do it...

Also, I live in California... so it HAS to pass smog...

Ceramic coated headers reduce temps under the hood and I have seen it said that this does help performance. They will last longer as well. For an otherwise stock 305 I would suggest 1 5/8" headers, if money is no object get SLPs and get them coated. You don't need any measurements. I believe the headers are around $400 with a $99 install kit(search for a group purchase for a discount), coating may be around $150-200. Install could be anywhere from $100-400. Search around for someone that does a lot of camaro header installs..someone that will do it well and do it quickly, and you will get a better deal from them. You can get smog legal ones.
