How much should an exhaust shop charge?

For an installation of long tube headers? They gave a friend of mine with a 94Z a quote of $1000 for the Hooker long tubes and install. I told him to keep looking around..... How much should the Hooker long tubes and a catback exhaust cost him?
Right now he just has a flowmaster and thats it. I don't know if he wants to keep it or change out to a different one.... Could someone give me an estimate on basically a complete exhaust upgrade?
Thanks!!!

well long tube headers and catback alone are like $600 or so. plus they'll have to modify the floorpans to make them fit I think. and headers take about4 hours or so to install same with the catback. so I say that's about rightfor labor and parts.
