True Duel Exaust with flowmasters: Is it possible

I am trying to find out how difficult it is to do a true duel exaust. Basically a long tube header, 3'', with Flowmater 2 chambers going out the back. I have heard that you can do it with the oval tubing for ground clearance but I would like the opinion of someone that has actually done it or knows someone that has. Pics would be greatly appreciated if possibe.

Thanks

Dan

I did it. I don't have a good camera right now, so I don't have any pics. Do a search on the subject, there was a guy that did a hand drawn diagram of a system very much like mine. If you have any questions let me know.

No sound files, sorry. Let me say this; once you go with 3" true dual mandrel bent exhaust all the way to the back bumper with some good sounding mufflers you will never do it any other way !!! Warning: this kind of system will cost $$$$$. Also, my system has header collector flanges about every 3 feet, so it is modular and can be taken off of the car without cutting it up.

Not true, not true. A local shop, Arlington Motorsports Racing (sponsor of LS1.com) will do duals with Dr. Gas X-pipe for $550 if you have longtubes and about $650 if you have shorties. Performance exhaust shops around hereround me have given me quotes of $950 to $1300. AMS does great work and a lot of people around here go there. You just have to check around--you can probably find someone to do it for a realistic price.

No offense cort351w, but the systems that I have seen done "cheap" have little to no ground clearance and rattle against the body of the car. I had to go to a chassis builder to get my exhaust done properly. Both of the three inch pipes on my system go over the rear axle and do not rattle against the body and I have more ground clearance now than with stock pipes. "You get what you pay for."
