For all intents and purposes, wouldn't a top of the line 3 inch high flow cat fee up as much power as the factory dual cats did???
I'm just thinking outloud how for a second there a few months ago I was thinking about converting my car to dual cats but I figured a 3 inch high flow would flow as much as 2 factory cats would....

I would think you are right. The facory cats on mine were, I think, 2.25". A single 3" aftermarket would almost have to flow better, just by the less resistance on the walls of the pipe.

Exactly, that and the fact that the new one is high flow and not the restrictive factory cat.....

I called random tech a few days ago. They told me that a good 3" flows around 500cfm, and that a good 2.25" flows around 300cfm. So I gues a pair of stock-sized 2.25" would flow around 600cfm....
For whatever it's worth.....
