Gauging interest in a set of Bonspeed Huntington Billet Wheels. They have less than 500 miles on them. Absolutely perfect condition. Fronts are 18x8 with 4.5" BS, Rear are 18x10 with 6.5" BS. You will have to massage the inner fender well to get the rears to fit or use a small adapter, I massaged the fender with a 3lb sledge and was fairly easy to do. Only one place really needs clearanced and that is the buldge in the wheel well near the LCA mount. Newstalgiawheel has these wheels for $2,268 with a 6-8 week build time. I am asking $1850 shipped, they will be shipped in the original boxes and i will include the Gorilla Lugs. Money Order Only due to the amount, paypal fees would kill me. I dont have any great pics of the car with these wheels but there are few below.
Has Nitto 555's on the front and BFG Drag Radilas on the back. I would need $200 for the front and $100 for the rear which are worn out. If you dont want the BFG's I will do $2000 shipped for the Front Tires and all 4 wheels.
The front tires are 245/40/18, the rears were 295/35/18. The wheels do not stick out from under the fender wells. Here is a pic from the side so that you can see where they sit.
Sorry but I wont go any lower than $1600 plus shipping. If you want just the wheels then i could do $60 on the shipping for all four making the total $1660 to your door.
Used wheels are like a pair of used shoes. Only the original purchaser get the smell of the new leather, the next guy gets them smelly. I dont think that is a good price for those wheels and that is why it is still for sale. If you dropped it to $1000 which is about half price, maybe someone, like me, would buy them. After all, they are used with no warranty.

How do you compare used shoes to used rims?!?!?! When you buy a used car do you use that same mentality, is adopting a dog thats a year old the same as used shoes? Thats just my
Well Mr. karl's-92-z28, why havent you bought them yet? You guys dont get it. Why do you think as soon as you drive a new car off the lot, it loses substantial value compared to what you paid? Dogs are living things, cant compare that to some aluminum alloy, actually some people prefer older dogs that are trained as opposed to new puppies that turn your house into the dump. Can we say that about new or used wheels? Why do you think tires need to be replaced, because the wear and everytime there is some mounting or unmounting of these wheels, there is bound to be some damage. Either by the tire installer, handling of wheels, or just even overtightning the lugs. Only one person gets the glory of opening the crown jewels for the first time, just like being the first to own the driver seat, and that was taken away already, right? Karl your and JT's , just dont add up. JT, i know you want the most you can get for your wheels, but realistically, you wont get what you are asking. Might as well put them in storage for a few years and let the corrosion and dry rot get on your wheels and tires. Come on Karl, make me eat my words and buy that set from JT for his asking price. You probably dont have the money, unlike me being realistic and offering realistic price and being able to back it up. That's my .
I know were your coming from energy, its just the way you worded it. Im no mad or anything I just trying to get a point across. As for the rims the shipping to Hawaii is murder, & yes I don't have the money for them...hehehe bought another $$$ pit.
classic case of people who dont have money dreaming. the only real offer is from me, everyone else is just dreaming and wishing. these wheels are $2100 new shipped, im sure the price could go lower if you negotiate right with Bonspeed directly. JT, good luck to you, but my offer stands if you are ready before new wheels gets ordered.
Hey, Energy Id go in on a group buy from bonspeed, maybe you can get in touch with them to see if they will give a group purchase.
If you get in touch, can you find out a couple of things,
What is the born on date?
What is the "best If used by" date?
It would be a dissapointment do get stale rims!!
twolfe, would you buy a "new" set of 18's like these but different style for $1660 shipped to your door, seriously? if so, i could get it done for you probably. however i think you are one of those that bark but wont bite. unlike me, i started the second or third round of group buy from UMI, it's not impossible. you probably think it's funny with the born date, best used by and staleness comment. look at the pictures, this guy took these wheels to the track and had some drag radials on them. you think they were garage queen slippers? all of you do a lot of talking about this set of wheels being worth their money, but who is buying? you either have the money get new or dont and if you have half you should be able to get a used set, that is what these are. a set worn out drag radials and "only" less than 500 miles. probably true, but those are some very hard miles. you guys are letting the fresh "new" pictures distort your image of what you will be getting. the professional "new" polish is probably long gone, im sure they are somewhat dull by now. anyhow, i dont think JT will ever sell these wheels to me anyways, but i just want to voice my opinion and hopefully everyone will start seeing some light on things, these are "used" wheels. JT, why dont you put them on ebay and see what the real value of these wheels are, i will bid.
Well at this time energycontacts I just want to say thank you for making everyone clear on your opinions. With that being said your opinions do not belong in my For sale thread. Your either interested in buying for my asking price or your not. Your Offer has been declined numerous times so leave it alone. They are what they are, Billet wheels in excellent condition that I would not be able to replace for my selling price not to mention your $1k offer. Your right the car is not a garage queen but it does not mean the parts on it are beat up.
It sounds like you want Billet wheels for a cast aluminum price, if you can get a set for that then by all means go for it.
JT, i know where you are at. You spent a lot of money for something you really want or need at the time, now you wish you could have all your money back and wipe your hands free of them because plans changed. If everything like that could be true, then we all would be better off. I wish i could sell my $2000 laptop i bought 2 years ago for $1600 or even $1000, heck even $600, but what are the chances? Or maybe the millions of people that bought real estate during the peak and now realize they arent even worth half of what they paid. Of course electronics, real estate and wheels cannot be in the same category, but resale on wheels just wont get you that much, well unless some sucker comes along. You want to sell your wheels, my offer is very fair, but not to you. It wont really help you much being stored away for a couple years, you will wish you sold them when you are ready to get it back on the road. Actually this kind of experience happened to me couple times before, i get pissed when i had the chance, i didnt take it. I was simply trying to put money in your pocket and make me , but ego will get in the way of this one. Two years from now, better wheels will come along, newer designs and your wheels will be well, out dated. One good thing about my opinions is that your thread gets bumped up everytime i decide to voice it, hope that sucker comes along and bites the bait. Signing out, for good, thanks JT for putting up with me and good luck.

Basicly the innner fender well near the lower control arm mount needs to be pushed in with a hammer. If you take off your rear wheel or just reach in behind the front lower corner you will feel a hump there. You also have to cut the bump stop off.
still selling wheels? just curious what offset they were made ro if you have to massage on the rear wheel tub. after all the abuse from the other people let me know some information on these. i am completely restored a 92 and in the closing stages ready to buy wheels and tires. please let me know in the next couple weeks. my email is kevinwing@bellsouth.net.
