Hi fellow thirdgenners. I have a fiberglass reproduction of the Mecham Racing rear aero wing found on the 82-85 MSE Trans Am's. I purchased it last summer for my 91 Firebird, and shortly after that I bought a 4th Gen. I parked the 91 and it has sat since then and the spoiler is exactly like it was when I pulled it out of the box from Mecham.
I paid $450 for it + $200 shipping... I know. Well plans have changed and Im wanting the money to put into my LT1. It's much better and lighter than the originals, not to mention they are impossible to find! Not only will you save 50 bucks on the same part, but you wont have to pay that outrageous shipping price.
Asking $400 + shipping
EDIT: I also have a white one just like it, but it's cut into three pieces. So if any of you are decent at fiberglassing you can take it for $100 OBO. I just don't have the time to put it back together. Of course shipping wouldn't be that much because I could fit it in a smaller box.

How would it work with my orginal wrap around spoiler. The tabs are made onto the metal that run around the glass? Id really like to have it but Idk how to remove the tabs that I dont need???
I have never dealt with the original wrap around spoiler but the Mecham wing does not attach to the back glass so it doesn't use the tabs. Also the bolt holes will not be the same so you will have to fill and redrill or get a base model rear decklid. But I am pretty sure the tabs are removable.
I wish i would have seen the broken one sooner. I would have bought it for sure. I need a spoiler anyway because the factory wrap around ones are junk.
Yep they are. I was going to put it back together myself but don't have the time to do the work. A guy in Europe bought it, since he could not get a full one shipped over there. Glad to help him out!
