Set of four 16x8 Formula Wheels. No caps. Good straight set with NO Road rash. Clear Coat is peeling. Good canidates for polishing. $150 plus shipping.
I'd be all over these, but shipping is a killer. I know I've shipped rims before for $15 (a piece), but that was business to business. I don't know if residential to business would drop the shipping alot or not.
How bad is the clear-coat peel? It's kind of hard to see in the pics... Any chance you could see what shipping would be like to 23323? Thanks in advance!
Two of the wheels have clear coat peeling around the hub and around the rim surface. The peelers are one front and one rear. The worst one of the two is peeling on the spokes also. The other two are not peeling, but look like they might start soon. The wheels are straight and have no road rash. They would make good cadidates for polishing or painting. I thought about having them chrome plated, however my car is a Trans AM, and it looks better with the crosslaced wheels, the the Formula wheels. UPS ground to Virginia will be $140.00 if I take them to the UPS terminal, and they deliver them to your address. Thanks for your interest. Charles
That's Ok. If they don't sell, I just put them in the attic. These cars are still so plentiful, that the cars and parts are cheap. I remember the days when one could buy 60's muscle cars and parts for near nothing...
Charles, thanks for getting the shipping quote. So it would be approx $300 shipped? That's really not too bad if the rims are in good shape. Wish you had the caps...
The wheels are straight and not beat-up. They balanced up good and looked good on the car, but they are far from new, because the clear coat is shot. The caps are on my Trans AM. I have a new set of black caps (reproductions with the black with WS6 centers) that I will sell for $40.00 if someone wants the wheels. The weight of the caps should not increase the shipping costs. If anyone wants these, I will only charge you for shipping exactly what it costs, me, so if the shipping is less then the quote, I will refund the difference. Charles
There are shops down here that will repolish each wheel for about 130.00 ea. I did that on my previous Formula nd let me say to anyone who has not seen a reploished rim, it looks brand new front and back. These were on my Formula but I bought the Firehawk R15's with red trim a while back and these are just siting in my garage taing up space. Thanks! Andrew
