Parting 85 Trans Am, full body minus hood.
Just picked up an 85 TA for parting. It was a stalled project that appears to have been in progress since 1987. No drive train and missing some interior pieces. Interior was disassembled so I'm still not sure what I'm missing.
Not sure on mileage, but there's maybe one door ding on the entire car and most of the interior plastics are in pretty awesome shape. Some body pieces (fenders mostly) have some surface rust from sitting. The tag on the car is from 87, so any wear is from moving it around and letting it sit.
Here's what I know I have.
Exterior:
Complete minus hood. Full GFX, black rubber spoiler in good shape but needs paint (unless you can clean the rubber)
Glass T-tops with key
Taillights are excellent with only very minor grid separation in the corners
Locking gas cap with key.
Interior:
Red interior.
Missing front seats, rear cloth split red/gray seats appear to be in perfect shape.
Red/grey passenger door panel is in excellent shape (including top piece). Driver's panel not worth it.
Plastic is carpet covered, very little scratches or fading, carpet pulling up on some pieces.
Dash pad doesn't appear to have any cracks.
Missing a few dash pieces, but do have hush panels with interior lights in them.
Rear cargo hinged cover
Overhead console (middle section with the reminder dials has been cut out for an alarm keypad)
Car also came with a new Jegs 10 or 12 point cage. This is just a bunch of pre-notched / bent tubes and backing plates.
Also has a zero mile Eibach spring set, but there's no telling how long they have been installed in the car. Not sure if they are the pro-line or sport.
Car was going to have a supercharger so there's an external oil cooler/filter system. Not sure who makes it or what it's worth, but it has a big cooler going to a dual filter setup.
I haven't parted a third-gen in a while to know what's worth what, so shoot me offers and requests. If you don't see something listed, It may be in the car somewhere.

Flashlight is there, but I just checked the console and the bag area is what is missing, not the mileage dials. I can make a new storage bag and will probably want to sell the console complete.

Are the seatbelt buckles for the front seats still in good shape? The ones that bolt to the trans tunnel? If they are, how much shipped to 15963?

The only seatbelt parts I've found are the headliner shrouds. No belts or buckles.

I kinda figured that might be the case since it sounds like it was gonna be a drag car. Thanks.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Jegster/550/940305K/10002/-1
And the 10 point goes for $249:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Jegster/550/940304K/10002/-1
$150 if it's the 12 point, $125 if it's the 10 point. Plus shipping. It's the same instructions for both cages, so I'll have to go dry assemble it to verify which it is if you are interested. If it's the 10, it could be easily made a 12. Either can easily be made into a 6 or 4 point roll bar.

Re: Parting 85 Trans Am, full body minus hood.
hey, I am looking for the stick that goes inside the shifter if it is a push top style instead of the 'side button' shifter.
The stick is probably yellowish in color? and the top of the stick has the rounded top but has flat sides. If it doesn't help
here is the link to the picture on here...
I need the stick on the right side of the picture.

Well the 12 point goes for $299:

And the 10 point goes for $249:

Re: Parting 85 Trans Am, full body minus hood.
I would like to keep it together with the door. Probably around $25 for the pair.
Kevin D.
----------
I would assume close between $50 and $75 due to the weight and size of the main hoops. Here's a picture:

Re: Parting 85 Trans Am, full body minus hood.
Looking to get $75 a fender including the vents. Here's some pictures:
http://picasaweb.google.com/kevin.dew/85Fenders#
As you can see, there is some minor surface rust but no dents or dings that I can find. There's a straight paint line on the passenger side front, but I can not find any signs of repair on the inside of the fender. Looks like a minor repaint at some point without removing the stripe that would have been on the bottom. Let me know if you are interested and I'll work up a shipping quote.
Kevin D.
----------
If so, $30 shipped for both straps and the bolts.

Bolts are no problem, as far as the strap, are you talking about the pieces that have the bolts built in that slide through the holes to hold the fenders to the nose?
If so, $30 shipped for both straps and the bolts.
