Everone I have seen builds and glasses a "tree" in the front to support the nose, and then uses dzus fasteers on the back. Your head lights would stay bolted to the rad support and use a quick disconnect for park and fog lights and you can set the front end on and off

do you happen to have any pictures of the other hood you said you have? I live near Charlotte myself and have been looking for a cowl hood (or stock Z28 hood) for my 89 RS
