I have a set of 4 wheels off my 89 trans am with the ws6 package for sale...... pics below

Those are Formula firebird wheels, not Trans am.

these wheels were available on all trans ams after 84.... they are part of the ws6 package with the chrome centers with ws6 badging on the center caps

Check your reference materials again. Look at the perimeter black allen screws. That exact rim was from 88-92 on Formulas. I guess you could order your Firebird, TA, GTA with those rims. 86-87 was the same style as the 88-92 but no black allen screws. 85 and older came in this style but NO 16".

the reference got was from ths link http://www.transamworld.com/fbird-history-php3.php and here http://www.thirdgen.org/1985-pontiac-firebird but are we defining the fact that there were special wheels and tire combos for the ws6 cars or the fact that these wheels were on trans ams?

We are defining the fact that those exact wheels were only from 88-92 and were most likely from a Formula originally.

I mainly use the Parts & Illustration Catalog

Both of those links are VERY brief on details and lack pictures of what 16" 20 slotted wheel is. I believe this is the wheel they are talking about.

I believe you are getting the concave and convex wheels mixed up. You could get them in silver also

From the catalog for 85.

# 13 (N96) was the only wheel in a 16" and thats not like yours.

I stand corrected I dont see them on this site but yes they are on formulas with the ws6 package.also have ws6 on the centercaps..also the trans ams have a ws6 option with 16 inch wheels 20 slots and gatorback 50 series tires..... nonetheless they are from the ws6 package and for sale
