Old hood struts wanted

I am looking for a set of old struts taken out due to not being able to hod up a steel hood, ones that were just going bad. I have an old aftermarket fiberglass hood and if I put new ones in when I go to close it it stresses the hood too much.

Re: Old hood struts wanted

They make new ones specifically for the fiberglass hood. I suppose worn steel hood struts might work as well though.

Re: Old hood struts wanted

Yes worn ones work I've had my stock ones since 84 in there and until a couple of years ago they were fine.
