You should put an filter system from a fuel injected car on there and fab up a air cleaner with a big tube to it. That way you would get cool air for your carb and you wouldn't burn down your car with the bugeye cleaner you have on there now.

i think by bug eye he means the edelbrock proflo.yes it will set the car ablaze....i had 1!!!!! just one backfire,a small one at that & it went up like the hindenburg.

FYI that part is still availible from GM and costs something like 15 bucks new. I just bought a new one from the dealer a couple months ago. if you need the part number send me a PM and I'll get it to you.

Thanks livewire. I called the dealer last week and they say its $25 and would take 4 days to arrive. Thats the route I'm going to go. I can't believe its so cheap!
