I need to change my oil pan because I am having some clearance issues... I want to drop the car 2" but there is no room... My stock oil pan is 6 quarts and has a depth of 9-1/2" I want to use a shorter pan but What about the sump and the other things... Should change them too, If so can you suggest the required parts for 502 ram jet (50 psi idle) I was think of this pan...

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-15-240T/ with 7" depth and Maximum Stroke with OE Rod: 3.875"

it says that they are for small blocks, Is there any way to put small block oil pan to big block? or should this be ok:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MI...5/?image=large (will this work with my stock sump and pick up )

Which Subframe connectors?

I need advice on which subframe connectors to purchase and which ones to avoid. I am new to the 3rd gen camaro world and there is much more selection that I am used to :)

Investigating, it seems SummitRacing sells connectors from as low as $99 up to $250. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEE-3046/

Spohn connectors run at $199
http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-...me-Connectors/

I will be welding them to the frame (even if they are bolt-on style). So what is the real difference? Or is it just brand name vs generic? Can I get a recommendation of what to look for and what to avoid?

Ok, I have read, re-read, and read again various threads on how the heater hoses are supposed to be ran with this swap and it still confuses the tar out of me.

I have the stock heater hose lines from my car, with the diverter valve. I have been looking at this article with these pictures, and it is confusing me to no end because it looks like there is only one hose coming from the firewall (heater core). There are TWO outlets on the firewall for the heater core. I understand you can cut the hose that went from the heater core to the radiator short and put it on the forward-most port on the water pump. But what the heck goes to the other outlet on the heater core?

Link:
http://www.team3rdgen.com/modules/3r...eater_hose.htm

And my other confusion involves NOT drilling and tapping a nipple onto the top of the water pump for the steam ventilation, and simply running a small hose from where the heater core line that was attached to the radiator (the hose we cut), running a hose from that point to the coolant cross over tubes underneath the intake manifold. From my understanding this works just as good as having a nipple on the water pump.

Anyone that has detailed pictures of how they ran all their heater hoses and DID NOT put a nipple on the water pump, and DID run a hose from the radiator to the coolant cross over tubes, please post them. I really want to get this figured out by tomorrow evening so I can do a test-fire.

I'm trying to restore, as close as possible, the engine/ecm harness of an 88 GTA and I have a few of questions:
1) How long should the pink and white coil pigtail be? This is the pigtail with the gray coil connector. I literally have 3 feet of pink and white wire now for that pigtail which I know isn't correct. I'm thinking it should be a foot or less but I'm not sure.
2) For some reason the O2 ground circuit (#413) was tied down to the thermostat housing, had multiple splices in it, and was pinched under a valve cover. Looking at some wiring diagrams this ground should be tied into circuit 450 which is an engine ground. Can someone please let me know where this ground is located. I think it should be on the back of the driver side cylinder head but I'd like some confirmation.
3) Does anyone have a picture of how the coil and egr solenoid are mounted? I don't believe these were correct on this car.
Thanks,
Tony
