I started with a cheap set of ugly, curbed up ROH wheels.

The curb rash was terrible on a couple of them. I mean REALLY bad. Just unacceptable, but I loved this style of wheel so I got the set anyway. So I stripped off the paint, then applied bondo to the curb rash and sanded them down to 220 (Despite my various concerns about using that for this application a google search returns a LOT of results of people using this method with very good results):

Then I took them up to 320 grit and got them all ready for paint.

I really like the aluminum/polished aluminum look, but I didnt know about this aluminum filler called "lab metal" yet... if I did I would have used that. It would have worked much better for this application, but it's too late now. But since I had bondo all over the lips to cover the curb rash, paint was necessary. I spent a lot of time deliberating on what color to paint them. I didnt want to go black because I think black wheels look horrible ,and I didnt want to go silver because I just hate painted silver wheels. Aluminum is silver and looks better. I'd rather just leave it as is.

I ended up going with this hyperblack wannabe color (I had originally planned to go hyper black, and I will eventually, but it's just a matter of not having the resources to do that at the moment) but unfortunately it turned out a lot darker than I had hoped it would. But it still looks pretty interesting. Not sure if I'll leave it this way for when it goes on the car, but I think it might grow on me.

Just bought a 91 Camaro and while I am saving up for the body work, I do have some Torque Thurst 2 rims I had on my 72 GTO. Going back to the stock Rally wheels on the GTO. The rims are 15x8s and are whatever the stock backspacing was on those cars. I also picked up a set of 245/60R15 tires that are basically brand new. Are these too tall to run all the way around. Dont want a 4wd look to the car.

The 91 currently has 225/60R15s up from and 275/60R15s in the back on the factory wheels.

Would this setup look good on the car? I plan on painting the car white with hugger orange stripes this winter/spring.

Also anyone have pics of thirdgen Camaros with 15 inch torque thrust 2s?

ok, i have a a few questions you all might be able to help me with. i need new tires. desperately. my car is right now sitting in the garage, due to me being 1200 odd miles away, for college, and the tires are the ones that were on the car when i got it last may or so, and they are dry rotted to hell and have little tread left. and one is completely flat. i decided just to get new tires. also im getting a set of 16" IROC rims off of an 87. so now i need to decide on some tires, preferably fairly cheap, being in college and all, and that my car will be sitting in the garage, at least for the rest of this year. so the questions ive got are, do you know of any cheap good tires? and right now i have 235/55R16s on my car, should i keep that size or go to 245/50R16s? if i do change the size will i have to recalibrate the speedo, or will it not make that much of a difference?
i worked at a pep boys for 8 months, but i was just the low man, oil changes and tires and such, so i never bothered to learn much about tire sizes...
any help would be greatly appreciated, and cookies may be in order to who ever helps. :p

I have been looking at rims for a while and summit has these rims and i like the look a lot. My only question is will the 10" rim stick out past the edge of the fender with a 10" tread tire with 4.5" back spacing and 0 offset? The fronts are going to be 8" rims with skinnier tires.
