Ordered a set of strut mount retainers from them since gm decided to discontinue only ONE side lol, shipping only took a few days and i gotta say from SC to AZ it wasnt too bad, also ordered a set of HPS brake pads from them, needless to say i was a little confused considering i ordered the "front" brake pads and ended up with 4, 2 fronts and 2 rears, normally i wouldnt say anything but i dont have a rear disk so theyll just be some nice paper weights for now, also when i got the strut mount retainers i found out they were from sphon (not to hard to figure out they gave a me a catalog, some stickers you know all the fun stuff lol) Good quality parts from hawks, the retainers however were like a brushed metal,(NOT BASHING SPHON EITHER) took care of that real quick though and just used some spray paint to give it some sort of a protective coat, went with red since most of their parts come in red lol i found it fitting

overall i liked hawks, i have to say though this shipping argument everyone keeps bringing around makes sense from both sides, i didnt like the idea of getting a quote after the fact for shipping but thats just me i dont like variables running around my bank account, however they were fair and didnt rip me off so its not so bad good job guys:nod:

So far, I have had a great experience with this company. Every time I have tried to contact them, they have responded within hours of sending an email, sometimes minutes. They are also very friendly and seem happy to answer any question; no matter how dumb (they demonstrated that skill with me).

They have made a modification to the Bosch design 3 injectors so they fit on a TPI fuel rail. It is similar to the one FIC has, but in my opinion SouthBay's is cleaner. They have pictures on their website www.southbayfuelinjectors.com. They also frequently post on this forum as SouthBay08, they have posted alot of info about these as well as pics. There is apparently no obstruction to flow or function of any kind. I just ordered a set of remanufactured Bosch 3's with that modification, and after shipping they cost $165. I may even have them before the weekend.

I have been shopping around and asking questions for a while now, and for my particular application (1987 iroc 5.7L TPI) this seems like the whole package; friendly, competant service, great price, and hopefully great product. I think this is definately the place to go. When I get the injectors I will post an update to the thread with pics and such. I almost forgot, SouthBay is also a TGO Sponsor. Thanks again SouthBay.:thumbsup:

I came across this site and been looking at it. they got some neat stuff (mostly for tuners...) they have a few parts that looked nice to get but I looked at their prices on just about everything and their all pretty low prices.

of course in a way they seem really nice, but not sure if their good parts, or if the site is a scam, or anything.

I figured I'd ask anything before I start buying some parts for my camaro.
(good example im looking at is the short shifter for the 93-02 camaro/firebird short throw shifter, I have a T56 in my car I'd beleive it would work, but I thought ls1 and lt1 shifters were different from each other?)

thanks.

I have purchased multiple items from Fine Lines and always had great results.

On the last order it was lost by UPS at no fault of Fine Lines. Instead of pushing the blame to UPS and doing nothing they rushed to produce a new set of lines and shipped them to me. They have great quality and phenomenal customer service!

If any of you need new lines, especially stainless steel I would consider them. They have earned all of my future business.

Just thought I'd post a brief overview of my experience with Hunsaker Sports now that it is over with. I bought a set of cloth Synchro seats on September 29 and paid via paypal. No word for a few weeks so I sent them an email asking for an update. Jason Hunsaker responded within about 20 minutes asking for my order info. I sent him my order number and he shot right back saying he would check into it that day and make sure everything was good.

I waited 5 days and never heard back so I sent another email. No response for another day, so I sent yet another email asking him to please respond or refund my order. He responded that his wife was about to have a baby and that he would get me my info that day.

I waited another day with no response, so I sent another email basically saying I understand family issues, but I would at least like a refund so I can move on and order some seats elsewhere.

I never got a response from him, so after a warning, I committed to getting a refund and opened a paypal dispute on Oct. 23. He finally responded on Oct 31 asking if I would like the seats shipped out that day. I replied that I would like a refund. No response.

3PM today he responds asking me again if I would like him to ship the seats. Two hours later paypal concludes their investigation and refunds me the full amount of the transaction.

Was his wife pregnant? Beats me, but I've heard far better cover stories before. Either way, if you are unable to do your job, it doesn't give you the right to keep my money hostage.

I have always loved buying from Summit, but now more than ever. I just received the last part for my custom fuel lines that I am making, today. Two of my fittings were on back order which was fine with me. The first one arrived a day or two before the expected delivery date which was a nice surprise. The last one was rescheduled to be delivered on Nov. 5th, which is next week. Well the UPS guy shows up today with my last fitting, totally ahead of schedule. I am so pleased I could dance. :lmao:

Oh and a funny story with the UPS guy. I've been ordering so many parts for my swap over the last 3 weeks I have almost been getting a package just about every day. The UPS guy shows up at the house with a grin on his face and says "Ahh, the infamous! I have been seeing a LOT of your name lately!" I told him how I'm building a car, and he was asking me what all I was building and I told him. That was kind of cool, because UPS guys are on a tight delivery schedule and I know that he had places to go but he still had a minute to chat.

Wanted to tell Third Gen Ranch thanks for the parts I bought last weekend. Denny was willing to work with me on a time to pick up the parts after I got called out of town last week. He also gave me a realistic expectation verbally of the parts I wanted to buy from him over the phone.

I'll definitely buy from him again. Nice guy and made me a good deal on everything!

Thanks again Denny!

I was doing a web search for Camaro and Chevy truck parts and I thought I'd check the first place I was familiar with. I searched the Classic Camaro/ classicindustries website and it comes up empty. I think opgi is the same location, but I don't see any Camaro or Chevy truck parts. Can someone fill me in? Something must've changed and I'm not up to speed.

I just wanted the Third Gen board know how happy I am with the service I
received regarding my Datamaster program. http://www.ttspowersystems.com/DataM...downloads.html
My laptop died and I had to load the Datamaster program on a new laptop.
Well the IBM thinkpad T30 was not allowing me to authorize the program so
I could continue to record.
Well those of us into DIY PROM tuning know how frustrating this can be even
when the programs perform flawlessly!
TTS Power Systems went as far as connecting me with the person that wrote
the program.
I'm sure Gary is a very busy man, but he was kind and understanding and solved the problem.
Thanks again TTS Power Systems!
