i think it would have to be custom made. i don't know of anyone who makes one and nothing would be an easy swap that i know of.

It would be a difficult task as the engine in the 3rd gen is not centered in the middle of the car. It is offset to the passenger side. The base and shaker would have to be offset.

You know, I’m pretty sure that when I measured in my formula it was centered, but even if it wasn’t, what’s the big deal? Find the shake that you like, cut out the location that you want it and then build the attachment brackets or whatever to hold it where you want it from there.

you could prolly get the shaker from a totalled 2nd gen TA, measure the dimensions of the hole in the hood and just cut it out of the 3rd gen hood. I was actually thinking a 3rd gen shaker would look kinda cool.

You need to make an adapter. I bought a shaker scoop for this. Check the sig.

Anyhow, yeah the engine is offset. Dont believe? Take a piece of string. Tape to middle of bumper. Now run it to the strip that goes between the t-tops, or if it's a hardtop or a vert, just take a tapemeasure and find teh middle of the cowl. Is the string going right over the top of the engine? Wasnt on mine. But that's ok, because if you look at where the carb is sitting and how the hood closes, you see that you also need to move the scoop FORWARD. Otherwise it wont fit.

And the shaker on the bandit II wasnt functional. Well it didnt shake, anyway. Look at the base, where it meets the hood.

But I have a question. Why the crap is the engine offset anyway?

Let me guess, you found that your engine measured a bit to the passenger side. The passenger side engine mount has just compressed from engine torque. Put in new engine mounts to re-center your engine (or just do what I did and un-bolt it and raise the engine enough to slip in some rubber into the collapsed engine mount).

well what you need to do is go get a junkyard hood and then go to the scrap metal yard and get some scrap sheetmetal to form a base and then you get one of those foam air filters that are really low profile and you cut a hole in the top of your stock air cleaner lid and weld that to it and then have it poke up through the sheetmetal and weld the sheetmetal to the filter and then you use the clamp the scoop came with to hold it on there and then use some weatherstripping from the junkyard to seal to the hood cuz the original stuff is probably shot anyway so then after you get that rigged up you just need to measure your hole in the hood and cut it and then cut out part of the frame of the hood and weld in some sort of reinforcement so it doesnt collapse or sag and still acts as a proper crumple zone in an accident i bought my scoop on ebay but it hasnt come yet even though its been like two months but thats another story altogether anyhow just search these forums for shaker assembly on a thirdgen and you will see a lot of pics of this one someone did that turned out really well
