i had a friend of mine make me one for my camaro that mounts in the ashtray made it our of diamond plate aluminum if you take your time it will look great

you could also find someone with a laser to cut it out. lasers can cut about anything that a water jet can. as long as it doesn't give of harmful gases when heated. also as long as you're not wanting it out of something thin and alot cut out of it because that can cause warping
There is a place in Kenosha, WI that I used recently for custom regulator/nitrous solenoid mount. You can see the end product in the PowerAdder forum. I paid 180ish for 5 pieces to be cut. They charge you the material and labor time. I thought the labor time was pretty cheap since other shops wanted to charge me 150+/hr. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was almost a month-and-a-half until they finished the parts. It was my fault though since I wasn't pressed for time and told them so. The place is called Ultra-Fab.
Doing signs, ranging from vinyl for windows, to building signs, neon lettering, post signs, etc., this was the place we used for water jet cutting. Great work! I have no idea on their pricing, but knowing the owner of our company, they were very reasonable, and their work was always top-notch when I picked it up. Great place & people to deal with too!
FYI the laser will not warp something thin as when it cuts it does not induce much heat. Water Jet machines typically cut thicker material then laser jet machines. I know because we have a laser at work. Our machine is a 4000 watt machine and it will cut up to 7/8" steel and 5/8" stainless. We only cut stainless steel on our machine.
A similar size water Jet machine would cut 2" thick steel and 1 1/2" thick stainless.
But...As the material gets thicker, the jet itself veers off, depending on the strength of the water jet machine. At the place I used to work at, it was used to cut glass circles, but the glass had to be miced for tolerance afterwards, for a pass or fail.
That happens with every type of cutting from Laser Jet, Water Jet, Hi Deff Plasma, regular Plasma, and flame cutting. It is called Curf.
As the material gets thicker the Laser beam, water jet, Plasma arc, or flame cut diverts as it gets to the bottom of the material. That is why you use a different focal point or cut point to keep the Curf to a minimum.
As a rule of thumb for a laser it is .001 per 1/16" of an inch.
