gauging interest in custom power wheels f-bodys

dont know if this is the right place to post, so here goes, am in the process of building a trans am power wheel for my oldest and figured i have 2 boys so ill need to make another one for him and was wondering if any other f-body parents would be interested in such an item, im a pontiac fan but not that much harder to make a camaro body style as well, will be a fiber glass body, can custom paint to match mom or dads color/design, and a few other things, but was just seeing if anyone was interested, cuz im not buying my boys a mustang power wheel id rather spend twice as much making one,

Re: gauging interest in custom power wheels f-bodys

No interest in purchasing one what so ever ( no kids...and Im too heavy). But all Im sayin is if you go through with it you better post pictures!!!! haha.

Sounds like a great idea, and if youre good with glass, Im willing to bet you could sell atleast a handful of them. Especially if you color match to the full sized versions!

Good luck!

Re: gauging interest in custom power wheels f-bodys

Let me know the price as well... My daughter drools over the power wheels mustang at wal-mart... I had thought about getting her the disney princess pontiac solstice... but a T/A would be perfect... are you thinking of building it frame up or just get a power wheel and mold the body onto a exsisting body.. just thinking if its frame up.. what would keep you from using a small go cart frame... "fastest power wheel on the block"

you're kidding right? i ask because i had one when i was younger,(my mom bought it for $20 at a pawn shop). i no longer have it because for some reason one day my dad decided to give it away (along with some other things of mine) to a coworkers son. i was pissed, i was like 11-12 at the time and to be honest i still am (20 now)

back on topic i would like one, depending on price. my 2yr old loves power wheels, but i cant find any I want to buy him. they no longer make the silverado, and i dont really want to get him a corvette. not getting him a mustang either.

Re: gauging interest in custom power wheels f-bodys

strange that this thread should come up. I'm building a gas powered powerwheels, but mine is a truck. Its really old, we've had it laying around since I last drove it as a 4 yr old. (now 17) I got really inspired by this video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM2SW...eature=channel
for my project I'm building a square tubing frame to mount the powerwheels body onto. basically a small go kart with a plastic body. what are you using for an engine? don't say you're going battery powered, that's no fun. also, you'll probably want a differential so you can turn, have you thought about what you'll use for that?
