exhaust fab

hey guys how would i make my exhaust 3 in longer without redoing the whole exhuast? i had to cut mufflers off and now tis to short. im running straight pipes to the axle to dynomax race mufflers. its 2 1/4 inch exhaust and 21/2 muffler. can i use a reducer and go from the 21/4 to 21/2 for the 3 inches then add the muffler?

Re: exhaust fab

Hard to picture but it sounds like a really easy thing to do yes by the adapter and bolt or weld it up just check if you need inside diamiter or outside diamiter sizes.
