Re: comp eng sfc's??

looks good! uve gotten alot done since this thread has started. keep it up!!

nice harland rockers! those are support girdels right? whats the point of these again? i kno it makes the valvetrain more stable... but is that it? looks like it adds alot of height for ur valve covers and kiss centerbolt covers goodbye

Re: comp eng sfc's??

hey thanks, yea so far ive used two of the smaller rolls of mig wire. now my argon tank is almost empty.

the girdles reduce rocker stud deflection at high rpms. they also lock the valve lash/polly locks in place. you still have to set the lash pretty often, but thats just part of solid roller cam shafts that you gotta deal with. as for center bolt, ah who needs em. lol but i imagine you can drill holes in the girdle if needed.

Re: comp eng sfc's??

you kno u can weld with pure C02 right? i saved my argon for my TIG welder and have used 3 bottles of CO2 with solid 70S-6 mig wire. does the same thing but its cheaper.

lol centerbolts are stupid lol even tho i got a set of fabricated aluminum ones with billet rail for 80$!! yeaaaa boyyyyyyyyyy

centerbolts are just easier to get to (the bolts) but i liked the fabbed aluminum perimeter bolt ones too
