hey guys this is a project I'm working on, what do you think? or do you have any suggestions? its not finished yet so I'm wondering if you think i should paint it yellow or black?
That looks really neat! Do you plan on atleast putting a shorter air dam back on in the stock location? What is the car used for? Did you have to do any body mods other then use screws to attach it? What did you use for the molds?
I say paint it black.

I made the air dam out of a sign from a gm dealer, it is really good to work with cause you can screw it in the shape you want.I did not have to modify anything to get it to fit, i will post more pics soon. thanks for you input guys.

here are some more pics of the air dam I'm working on, i think it all going to look good when i get it finished, it should catch the air way better, also the other part i made, keeps the front ground effect up so it wont blow back at high speeds which in turn helps the paint from cracking, hope you like it.
Could you post some pics of the back side of your actual radiator air dam? I just made one outa polished alluminum, but i think any metal will bend or break.
well guys here are a few pics with it painted and installed on the car,i don't think i should have used yellow so i might take it out and paint it black, what do you think? also its not all bolted it place so don't mind the pieces not fitting together perfect, all i done for the actual radiator air dam was cut my old plastic one off, but left about 2" or so to mount my new one to, so it has some flex to it, i thought about using aluminum also, but i think it will be to stiff and if you hit something or it hit the road it will bend the aluminum and what ever its bolted to and that wont be good! if you have any ideas or input it would be great.
Since you have the air dam angled forward, if it is too low, it will wedge itself into whatever it hits and have a much better chance of breaking. The other thing to consider is that when you get going faster (highway speeds) it will want to bend backwards which would make it vertical. It will be a lot closer to the ground then... will it rub if you hit a bump? I would also try and connect the yellow pieces in the front because they look a little loose already, so I'm thinking the wind when driving will make it flap around a lot.
I still say paint it black.

I hear ya, but the new one i made is not as low as the original, and if she goes down that low i don't think the air dam will be the least of my worries lol, i don't think it will bend back because its made from fiberglass and i can stand on it without it bending, i thought about that as well, and i still need to finish bolting the middle yet to make it stronger, i think i will paint it black though, thanks for your info.
