I'm not a fan. You should have left the lip silver.

Also.....Why is this in fabrication?

Re: Newly Painted Rims...Thoughts...

I think they look great.
When i paint my T/A blue sometime in the future I am going to do the black rims also. I am going to go for the look of the mid 90s corvette grand sport. I think the stock centers with a shiny ring around the sticker and the rest black may set the wheels off nicely.

Re: Newly Painted Rims...Thoughts...

did you strip those before you painted them, and what kind of paint did you use? I was thinking about powdercoating mine.

Re: Newly Painted Rims...Thoughts...

well they were already mostly stripped and f***ed up from an accident a few years back...but i did also "rough" them up using medium grit sand paper...as far as the paint, i was going to use black semi-gloss wheel paint, but they had none, so i went with the Krylon Semi-Black Engine Paint...and i think it works pretty good, i have seem a buddy of mine paint his rims with black wheel paint, and for some reason, it chips/scratches fairly easy...so i am quite pleased with the outcome from the Krylon engine paint...then of course i use red caliper paint for the calipers...

with leaving the lip silver. Solid black on black tires makes them look like cheap, steelie, junkyard wheels, IMO.

as 88thirdgen said, i was talking about usacamaro's car.

fabrication is for building parts and creating components and what not. this thread should be in body/appearance. no worries
