Best way to rejoin cut fuel lines after changing fuel pump?
I have been searching through this forum and several others researching the fuel pump "access panel" creation method.
I've seen it mentioned to cut the hard fuel lines in a staggered pattern but whats the best way to join them back together? I don't want to use rubber hose because that doesn't seem stable to me.
I'm also assuming the fuel lines need to be cut with a hacksaw so as not to create an explosion
Re: Best way to rejoin cut fuel lines after changing fuel pump?
the best way I've seen is to use compression fittings if you can find the right size, or just go full AN sizing, but that requires more work and $... you'd have to look for the outter diameter of the lines for the compressions...
Mods so far: MSD Cap and rotor, MSD ignition coil, Accel 8.8mm ignition wires, Hooker Super Comp Shortie Headers, Flowmaster 3in catback, underdrive crank pulley, custom cold air intake, NOS wet 125 shot, air foil and a lead foot! no E/T's yet. ...TURBO COMING SOON...Other mods include keyless entry and remote start, and Sequential Turn Signals.

The best way is to flare them, either 45 deg. double flare or 37deg (AN) but you absolutely need the double flare because the tubing is non seamless. A double flaring AN tool is pretty expensive so the 45deg. is the best option. Then all it takes is some flare nuts and sleeves (in case of AN use sleeves) and a coupler.
