Hard top to T Top

Car: 1982 Camaro Sport Coupe, 1989 GTA
Engine: 355Ci, None
Transmission: B&M 700R4, 700R4
Axle/Gears: Stock, Stock Borg-Warner
Hard top to T Top

I just saw a thread about a guy trying to go the opposite way, T to hard, and I really want t top, but my car doesnt have them... ho hard doy you think it would be to

1. cut out where the T-tops would be...
2. chop the top off and weld on the t top top...

what obvious problems that im overlooking would we run into?

only reason i wanted to make my own thread is because i didnt want to highjack his...
