i dont think thats gona work... the backup/neutral saftey switch on the stock shifter is LARGE and its black and LARGE lol. the B&M one coomes with 2 very small switches... and u have to wire it yourself (help from the instructions) also need to get the required relay.... but i wouldnt use the relay they recomend. I went through 2 of them where the car left me stranded and thats at 10$ a pop for the relay. i upgraded and went to a 30-40amp relay from a cold start kit i had laying around and its been flawless since.

the saftey/neutral switch have to bolt on to the shifter and uses a metal "bump" to activate the switch then the shifter is in the correct gear. u can not get the stock one to work. you will need the B&M shifter cable for that shifter... which u said u have. u will need the relay, switches, and mounting hardware. since yours is a camaro im not sure if u have to modify the stock console since u idk if u have the B&M megashifter console lid thing. i had to hack a good bit of my firebird one to get it to work, B&M states this in there instructions.

what ive done in the past is just left out the n.s.s. & hardwire the reverse lights into a switch like on the t handle or something.i've had the misfortune of many auto gremlins getting me when i least expect it,so my foot is always on the brake when i start the motor.the cool thing about no n.s.s was if i stalled ,i would just have to hit the key.my 78 nova i had for some reason loved to either stall around 50(no clue) & the gas pedal loved to stick
