I know its a long shot, but does anyone here have a template for alt/ps pump brackets? Kinda like the march mid mount brackets. I want to go back to serp setup but dont want too spend a boat load of cash. Thanks

on my drag car which is a v8 swap car but we welded bracket to driver side of frame for the alt. but swaped to mech steering box not much help there. but thats my 2 cents

I had serpentine setup, but I hated the big ugly brackets (I have a 92). When I deleted my A/C, I swapped to the 1/2 serp 1/2 v belt setup from the TPI motors of 1987, and I really like it. Was easy to get (local yards), and it just looks alot nicer. Since the A/C was gone (originally pass side on my 1992), I moved the alt to the pass side, using a nice chrome bracket from autozone ($30). For me, I had to switch to a TPI alternator and waterpump, but in the end it's nice, clean, and was well worth it.

That's why I will never go with a stock 3rd gen serp setup... I'll probably be making my own serp setup instead. All you really have to do is make pulleys and brackets. It isn't very hard if you have access to a lathe and basic shop equipment (grinder, drill, etc...)

Im pretty sure iv seen some bracket templates floating around here, or that could have been another site i forget. theres a lot of brackets and pulleys on ebay for decent prices thats the route i was going to take before opting for march brackets and pulleys and im really glade i got them. the biggest reason was everything was there ready to go and i didn't have to peace a kit together and hope things worked, im also running a electric water pump as well so researching brackets and pulleys to work was headache but all in all the ebay brackets would have been about half of what it cost for the march kit alone. i payed $340 they also have another kit its the same thing only has polished aluminum pulleys and brackets, and some covers for the pulleys too for $540. $340 wasn't so bad but i also had to buy the adapters. . .
