Why put the fuel gauge in your line of sight when the oil pressure is much more important?

IDK, I just felt it would be a better place to put it then off to the side. I'm running a smaller 13" steering wheel so the oil pressure gauge doesnt get blocked by the wheel. I have an oil and water gauge in about the same place right now and i can see it fine while driving...

OKay so heres my lighting idea. I tried getting the gauge light in the picture but the 9v battery I have didnt cut it for all the bulbs. The guages will be red, and then the blue from above. I have 4 of the LED strips, I also have 3 spot light type leds, the same ones as my high beams I could use instead. Comment welcome...

Hey everyone,

SOrry i've not been updating this for a few month, just been busy with work and i've not gotten time to work on the new dash. Here are the updates of what I got done today. I've got almost everything wired up on the back of the dash. the only thing left is the signals and warning lights. I'll do that tonight once I get another connector. Let me know what you think...

Judging by the shows on the gauges in the first pic, it isn't going to be any better with more lights. Since the shadow is over the part of the gauge you need to read, I'd say that setup won't work. I'm not real keen on being able to see the little bulbs of triple light sections either.

Okay so it 95% done, I got a few thing to finish up like the switch panel, and I have to decide which LEDs to use for Aux. lighting. Its pretty much done.

looks really nice. where did you get the led's from? im making a switch panel and need a bunch of them. also putting some in the dash

I got all the colored LEDs at Radio Shack. The gauge lighting was from SuperbrightLEDs.com

Here's what you guys have been waiting for. It's finally done everything works except a few gauges that need sender hooked up, but it's all installed ready to go. I'll take some real good shot in the next day or two, but my cell pics will do for now.
