Need Pontiac's phone number

I think I need a copy of the original Van Nuys build sheet.
Do you have any phone numbers to Pontiac, that coild be useful ?

I have a red 1991 Pontiac Formula Showcar. 5.7L 350 L98 engine.
I have owned the Vehicle since 1994. The car was stolen and the engine removed. Both the Car and engine were recovered. I need to associate the Vin to the Engine block serial number and require writen confirmation from Pontiac.
I need to prove to others, that the engine in question was the exact engine that was installed by GM in Van Nuys in 1990 in this Firebird body. I have been given only 30 days to accomplish this.

The firebird Vin is 1G2FS2380ML214299 The Vin is
1G2FS2380ML214299
The Engine block serial number is: 14093638 The Engine block serial number is: 14093638

I am certain that this is the original engine but I can not prove it to others, even though I have pictures. It is extremely important that this tasks, associating the two numbers, be successful.
Would a Copy of the build sheet accomplish this task ?

Try searching for "Pontiac Historical Services" or something to that effect. I seem to remember reading something about that department a while back. Unless I'm remembering wrong, that would be the place to look for documentation needs. I've never messed with build sheets really, so can't offer any input as to what one would do for you...

Have you contacted Pontiac Historical Services yet? It doesn't take a phone number to do that...

www.phs-online.com

That's all you need to order a package from them, although I still can't speak for if it will accomplish what you want. If you really, really need a telephone number, they list a fax number. I'd imagine you could send a fax requesting a telephone number to call for information.

Another option, which you may have tried already, would be to call the 1-800 number listed on that website for the Pontiac Customer Assistance Center (1-800-762-2737). I would imagine that somebody there could get you in touch with PHS.

Sorry think again

One would think this is true but its not the case.
GM does not want the general public to know its Department's phone numbers.
